What kinds of things did you think about as you watched the movie? Was the movie exactly the same as the book? Why do you think movie makers change things for a movie? Do you think it’s important for movies to remain identical to the novels on which they are based?

Elements/features are the same from a movie to a book; because what happens in the book; happensin the movie. What kinds of things I saw whats that the movie had the same characters. Also the same type of conversations were happening in the movie just like in the book. The movie was exactly the same as the book. I think that movie makers change things for movie because; they want it to appeal to the viewers. No; i dont think that the movies should be identical to their books; but i do think that main parts of books should remain the same.
ReplyDeleteI think there are some elements features of the book and movies the same;the same elements are that the using the same story but, I think there are some different things because i think in the book there are more detials. When I saw a movie based on a book I was thinking to my self that why they didn't inculde each detial that the book had. For example, it was still about the same topic but, in the book they inculde more detials. The thing that was exactly the sameas the book was it was based about the book and they didnt change a lot of things. I think movie makers change things for a movie because they wouldnt include each details they will keep it simple and based on the story a little. you think it’s important for movies to remain identical to the novels on which they are based beacuse let's say that if u read the book and you decide to see the movie and it's not really identical to the novel and it won't make sense.

ReplyDeleteThe elements|features of a book is the same by if your reading a book that your really into & then you find out that its hiting bigscreen. When reading a good book you picture it in your head. So; when it hits bigscreen your like wow! & the way the author wrote the story & how it came on big screen your surprise. A book i read that hit big screen was PRECIOUS.When i read the book it was alot of crazy parts in the book & the author would describe all parts on the book & you would be like whoo!.But; when i saw the movie it wasnt like the book.for example the main character. She would narrroate what would happen;but the details never bought out certain parts out. Also;no the movie was not the same as the book in some parts BTW(BYTHEWAY).Next i think the movie makers change things for the movie maybe to make it more better & reality. In my opinion yes i think its important for movies to stay identical so audience;fans would really get into it & rate it more.Just to make it better & real. FINALLY;I agree w|$IERRA & OLENI$ BECAUSE THERE NO ONE ELSE TO AGREE W|BTW;BUT I AGREEw|sierra because she said the movie makers would make it identical like in a way i said & ...olenis said a book dont give alot of details i disagree.
The element and/or the features of a book are the same in folowing ways. First because they keep the same character names and their actions. Second way is they keep the same title.
ReplyDeleteA time when i read a book and saw a movie based on the book i had a couple of thoughts. Iwatched closely and thought did this event happen on the book? I thought about the actions the characters took.
The movie wasnt exactly like the book, in the film they changed things a little bit. For example in the book the dad was rarely mentioned but in the movie it was mentioned alot and he wasnt that nice as they made him seem in the book.
I think movie makers change things for a movie because of the following. They want to entertain the viewers/audience. Second is they would like to persuade us(the viewers). Maybe they want to make the events more interesting then how it took place in the book.
I think its extremely important for movies to remain identical to the novels on which they are based. This is because a person that read the book but didnt really understand it and then watches the movie he/she is going to get confuse, due to the slight changes. Also because you would like to see the events exactly as it happened in the book/novel.
I agree with my fellow peer Olenis, I also think to myself why dont movie makers add detail by the detail from the book to the movie. For example "Bridge To Terabithia" all the scenes are not as stated on the book. I agree with my genius peer Tanaye i've had the same problems. When in the book the author narrates it but when it comes to the movie the main character is the one that narrates it. It gets very irritating because i want to see things exactly how i read it in the book.
Watch when i grow up(not by height because i doubt that) im going to have my friend Danilo write a book and then Aroldy,Marcello, and me would make the movie just like the book. This is so other authors and filmakers can copy from us and people would be satisfied with what they watched and read. :)
The elements/features of a book and a movie are the same because it's based on the same story but sometimes the story might change a bit. A time when I read a book that turned into a movie was when I read Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. The main character was described very differently in the book than what she looked like in the movie. Most of the movie was the same as the book but some things were changed. I think movie makers change things for a movie because they try to make it more interesting in a way. And Yes I do think that it is important for novels to remain identical to the movies so that you know what to expect from it. Finally I agree with Tanaye when she said that fans would really get into the movie if the movie and the book are identical. I also agree with Olenis because like she said if you read a book and then decide to watch the movie and they're not the same it wont make sense.
ReplyDeleteIn honest opinion, I think that this article is true in a way....but senseless at the same time. Lets be logical here; when a regular cartoon movie comes out, most kids rather just watch it instead of read the book to understand the whole maining of the plot. As for other kids (no offense) they take out the time to read and understand fully about what there going to watch. As for my part, I rather read the book first then watch the movie because in lots of movies that I have seen there are lots of parts that are cut out or replaced for other things. So if you read first, you'll know twice as what you're *non-reader* friend knows about the movie.

I agree with Sierra because its true that film makers need to keep the movies identical to the books.
ReplyDeleteThe elements/features of the book and movie are the same because they are both based on the same thing but might have been done a bit differently. Once when I saw a movie about a book I have read recently I usually get disappointed because the movie has missing parts that the book focused a lot on. As I watched the movie I wasn’t really into it because I already knew what would happen at the end because of the book. However parts of the movie have been turned into something I was not expecting at all. I think that sometimes movie makers change things for a movie to surprise the book fans that have come to watch the movie, they want to keep things interesting but not disappoint the fans by changing everything.
ReplyDeleteI agree with what Sheila said that most kids once they know that the movie came out they would rather watch the movie than just take the time to read the book which can help the reader have a better understanding of the plot.
ReplyDeletei agree with sheila because if they know the book came out they rather go and watch the movie because they would think the book is just the same as the movie and i rather watch the movie than the book because i dont like reading so yeah i think i made my point.
ReplyDelete1) How are the elements/features of a book and movie the same?
ReplyDeleteThe element and/or features of a book and a movie are the same because they have character with the same name and characteristic. The settings are the same and plots are the same. The only thing different is not all the detail of a book is involves in a movie, for example in the movie “diary of a wimpy kid” in the book when the teen told Greg to eat the cheese he told them he’s allergic to dairy and they let him go. But in the movie the teen didn’t let him go they continue to bother him until the teacher came out to chase them away.
2) What kinds of things did you think about as you watched the movie?
Something I think about watching the movie after reading the book is if the movie was the same as in the book. Most likely seeing the different between the movie and the book if the movie includes what the book states and if the movie includes some extra feature not read in the book.
3) Was the movie exactly the same as the book?
To tell you the truth I really think it was not exactly the same because in the book the newspaper girl doesn’t always show up with Greg and Rowley, but in the movie she appears every 10 minutes or so. Another reason why I think so is because as I state in question 1 - when the teen told Greg to eat the cheese he told them he’s allergic to dairy and they let him go. But in the movie the teen didn’t let him go they continue to bother him until the teacher came out to chase them away.
4) Why do you think movie makers change things for a movie?
I think the reason why movie maker change thing for a movie is because maybe be it doesn’t make sense to the sequence as if in the book it doesn’t matter where what goes and what is but in movie everything got to make sense and also the part is not really important for the movie and if is include it will make people confuse.
5) Do you think it’s important for movies to remain identical to the novels on which they are base?
I really don’t know if it important but I think it does, that make a movie from a book a movie from a book right:) . But if didn’t it wouldn’t make sense.
I agree with Sheila because some people rather watch the movies because maybe their to lazy to read the book and they rather just go and see the movie and i think its better to read the book first and then watch the movie because a the book gives more details.
ReplyDeleteI agree with both Katherine and Sheila because a book like harry potter is very very long I wouldn't read that book at all but if there a movie about it I would see it so I can get a idea about the book and what is going to be about. But not for a book like diary of a wimpy kid cause the stick figure really help reader and it make it non - boring and fun to read. And is a short book but a book like that if it had a billion of pages I still would read it :) .
ReplyDeleteTANAYE i didn't say that "a book dont give alot of details"
ReplyDeleteI disagree with Sierra because I don't think The movie was exactly the same as the book because they would of include each detail from the book don't you think?...
ReplyDeleteThe elements|features of a book and it's movie is the same because the conflicts that charaters face are the same in both the book in movie. Also settings and important events.
ReplyDeleteA book that i read as well as seen the movie is Outsiders by S.E Hinton, when i saw the movie i remembered that ponyboy was suppose to have long hair but he really didn't. The difference though between the movie and book is the book was so desriptive about how each character looked and accted, giving images in yor head. But in the movie based on how they acted, you can tell about them. I belive movie makers would change things about the movie cause people are more likely to watch something than to read about it. No, i think movies shouldn't remain idential to books ause i like when there's difference, like maybe adding parts. Or when you think one way about character or a part , one you watch what it really means, it changes your perspetive.
I agree with Shiela when she said that she'd rather read a book than to watch a movie beause i like that when you read you get to creater pitures in your head of what your being told , but based on the type of person i am, im gone end up watching the movie instead of reading about it. finally i agree with onlenis beccause if the movie and book are very different then it really won't make no type of sense.
The elements of the book and the movie are the same because it has the same type of flow and plot. Also when you have read the book of it you will know all of the characters right off the bat and you wont have to worry about who's who. I really can't remember any books that i read that i then saw the movie, but i know that the movie will be a little different because of the plot being smaller in the movie. When i have seen the movie of the book i read i was surprised because the movie starts off from a different part of the series and it makes many people confused until they reach the middle part of the movie. The movie of a book can be the same but the directors also want people who haven't read the book to go see the movie and then buy the book. I think that movie makers change things for the movie because they want the movie to be as simple as it can be so it wont confuse many people. I also think that the movie should be the same to the book because it is like reading the book and watching the movie at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sheila because a bunch of movie makers do not make the movies the same to the books most of the time.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Andrea because you can make the movie the same as the book. But you can also switch around some scenes and make the viewers get surprised with it.
ReplyDeleteThe elements that were the same was that they have the same storyline. As i watched a movie from a book i noticed that their were things different from the book.Movies are not the same as books becuase they can't express every thing in a movie. The filmer changes the movie so that people can get interested.
ReplyDeleteI agree with olenis when she said that the books and movies are more different because in the books people show more expression they also show more details than the movie
ReplyDeleteThe elements of the book and movies are the same because it has some seens in which they are the same.
ReplyDeleteI thought to my self wow practacally the same thing
I think that yes it was kind of the same thing because it has the words and everything but they just add more deatails
I guess it is for it not to look the same and it for it to have diffrent conclusions
No, i dont think that it should be the same thing because it would be the same thing so why should you waste your money in something that is the same.
I agree with Danilo becausemovies can be diffrent but also the same and that they can be diffrent in the book and the movie.
ReplyDeleteI agree with katherine because movies usally miss parts that make a book famous. I agree with shelia because it would make boring to read a book when you can just see the movie
ReplyDeleteHow are the elements/features of a book and movie the same? Some ways they could be the same is by still keeping the people and the plot of the book/movie. The movie that I saw was Percey Jackson and the lighting th ief and some stuff that i wondered was will the setting be the same the people and the problem. Was the movie exactly the same as the book? The things that stayed the same was the place the main person and problem. Why do you think movie makers change things for a movie? Some reasons are because maybe the plot doesn't really make a whole lot of sense or they producers are to lazy. Do you think it’s important for movies to remain identical to the novels on which they are based? I don't think it has to be exactly like he book but i think it has to have some important parts of the book.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Oscar Soliver because i do think that the movie has to have the problems and i also agree with Adrew G. because the movie could be changed a little bit for it to make sense.
ReplyDeleteThe elements/features of a book and a movie are similar because, the movie was actually created to be a visual of the book. For example Twilight the movie is completely different from the book. During the movie i was thinking "will they put this scene in that I like a lot." The movie was not like the book, it had the basic plot of the book. I think directors change scenes in movies because of their budgets or because those parts aren't as important to the movie, or they probably thought that it would not appeal to the audience. I think movie should be just like the books but not to an extent where you know exactly what is going to happen next. When I go to the movies I look forward to seeing it as I pictured it in my head.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Andrea because if in the book they describe a character's appearance then the actor/actress should look like the character if not then you get thrown off. I also agree with Sheila most of the audience just want to be see it then read it that's actually the general reason people watch movies.
ReplyDeleteThe elements/features of a book & movie are the same because the are explaining the story. They might add a little more details in the book tho. Sometimes I want to know where did some parts go. They don't always put every part from the book in the movie. I think movie makers change some stuff because they don't always have enought time to put every single detail in there. Some times it s important but then sometimes it should not because some books are not that interesting .
ReplyDelete^____^ MaRi x$$$
I agree with Melanie when she says that the movie is a visual of the book . That is the main reason why they make movies . I also agree with Katherine when she said she was disappointed about the movie she saw . That same thing happened too me i thought it was going to be a hot movie but it was wack.
ReplyDelete__MaRi x$
The differnce types of elements between the movie and the book is that the book contains more information then the movie and in the movie thier would be parts that change. Also because the parts will be a change so the part can be more intresting to the viewers. The book and the movie are a little bit simalar because it describes the differnt types of charcters in the book but make it more realistic and different. They would mostly try to fit the all the information into the movie but they want to change because they want to maybe have a certain time for the movie. So mostly I think the book would have more information then the movie.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Aroldy because I also read the lighting theif that some times they can not put all the information into the movie because mabe it wold be kind of weird to have the all information into the movie. So it would be differnt. Another person I agree with is Danlio because they do differntly so they can expressed the movie more differnt and try to make it intresting.
ReplyDeleteTANAY $aid;
ReplyDeleteI also agree w|tha darling oscar<$;because we both have tha same opinions;ON HOW THA PRODUCERS SWITCH THE BOOK TO THE MOVIE DIFFRENTLY;then in a way make the movie TOTALLY!;off.
